Unison Behavioral Health is happy to announce the appointment of Christopher Dougherty as the Intensive Case Management Program Manager. Chris graduated in 2007 from Wright State University with a bachelor’s in psychology and began working for Montgomery County in Ohio as a case manager helping people through TANF, Medicaid, and Childcare assistance. He received a master’s degree in professional counseling in 2013 and worked as a Children Services caseworker in Montgomery county as well as a professional counselor for private practice. After 2016 Chris began work as a school counselor and team leader for school-based case managers and counselors. He has experience working with many different people and all ages. Chris is passionate about helping veterans who need assistance with mental health services, and he has completed tier II of Star Behavioral Health Providers training. He is a licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Georgia. His family recently moved to Waycross in the fall of 2021 and are enjoying the additional opportunities here and in the community. Chris and his family are looking forward to helping in the community. Intensive Case Management (ICM) services is a community-based team approach that supports individuals through the provision of case management, the goal of which is to support individuals in their journey of recovery while assisting with care coordination, linkage and referral, enhancing life skills, addressing physical health and behavioral health needs, engaging in meaningful activities and building social and community relations.
