The 1st Annual Community Mental Health Fair was held on Saturday, May 18th at the Central Square Complex Gym in downtown Douglas, GA. We are thrilled to have had over 30 exhibitors who provided a variety of excellent resources regarding mental health services to over 100 attendees! The City of Douglas provided everyone with free hotdogs, chips, and popcorn, and 22 lucky winners walked away with awesome door prizes!! Unison’s Intensive Case Management Team was recently recognized by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities for the great job they do with linkage and engagement.  We appreciate the outstanding job they do linking our clients to available resources and engaging them in their communities!

Congratulations to Tiffany Warren, Memorial Drive School Counselor of initiating the most referrals in a quarter for children’s mental health needs.  Unison is honored to have Memorial Drive as one of our APEX schools and appreciates their partnership.

All residents of Georgia are invited to participate in a statewide survey to improve the lives of people with mental illnesses, addictive diseases, and intellectual/developmental disabilities and to strengthen community efforts in prevention and early intervention.  The survey is anonymous, free, brief, and open until April 15, 2019. The English version is at The Spanish version is at The goal is to collect 8,000 responses representing all 159 Georgia counties. This survey is coordinated by the Regional Advisory Councils of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
