On March 26, 2018, Robert Martin, SE consumer, was a guest in the Supported Employment Steering meeting. He was acknowledged and praised for being motivated to work. While receiving services in Psychosocial Rehab groups, he decided he wanted to work. He was referred to SE and immediately found a job cooking at Ryan’s Restaurant. Robert’s desire to work and positive outlook played a big part in finding a job so soon. He states he LOVES his job and the best part is when the customers compliment his work. Some days, Robert is asked to work extra hours and he says that also makes him happy. One barrier for employment has been transportation but Wanda helps him overcome this barrier. Robert said he enjoyed being in the meeting and sharing his success!
