Unison’s Ware County Child and Adolescent program recently held its Open House at their program site in Waycross, Georgia. It was a wonderful evening function that allowed all school officials and community partners the opportunity to speak with Ware C&A staff about our school based mental health services, psychiatric services, nursing, therapy and family therapy services. Unison manager, Misty Burchett reiterated to participants that positive results are likely when teachers, parents, mental health and community agencies work together to identify students’ needs and implement strategies to meet them so that early detection of children and adolescent mental needs is achieved. Unison strives to provide easy access to mental health services for children and youth and collaborating with community partners assists in this effort. Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us for our Georgia APEX Project Open House.
