Eddie Davis got to fulfill a longtime dream of meeting her idol, renowned cook, Paula Deen. Eddie also met her sons Jamie and Bobby and she, along with the rest of the group, enjoyed eating lunch in “The Lady and Sons” restaurant. What made the day extra special was that we were placed at the front of the line by the very kind, gracious official photographer, Christine Hall. Ms. Hall has an autistic daughter and was well aware of what it takes to serve special needs adults. She also chatted with me and some of the others and I will never forget her kindness that day. Of course Eddie had the biggest thrill of all meeting Ms. Deen who chatted with her and had several pictures made. They all seemed interested in Unison and what we do.
