Join us in celebrating 15 years of Faithful Service with Melissa Guthrie Thomas. Melissa started her career with Unison in 2010 as a Social Services Professional II, Licensed where she provided therapy and assessment services to adults at our Coffee Behavioral Health (BH) and Child & Adolescent clinic. In 2014, she was promoted to program manager for Coffee BH where she managed the program operations and supervised staff. She also began providing the clinical supervision for agency staff who are working towards licensure and has worked with many staff to gain their supervision to achieve licensure.
In 2022, she transitioned to working part time providing assessments and therapy services while continuing to provide the clinical supervision for the agency. The clinical supervision and guidance Melissa consistently provides to our emerging supervisor trainees reflects her deep commitment to developing others. Her extensive clinical expertise and sound judgment benefit all the clients she serves. Melissa’s thoughtful leadership, steady support, and approachable style have strengthened our team and built the confidence of those she mentors, fostering the growth of skilled therapists across the organization.
