Unison is very fortunate to have Dr. Fady Henein join our team. Dr. Henein currently provides psychiatric services for St. Illa Crisis Stabilization Unit, Residential Treatment Program as well as, Charlton, Ware Adult, and Ware Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinics. Dr. Henein attended St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, MI, where he completed his first year of training in Internal Medicine. After completing his first year of training he joined the General Adult Psychiatry Residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. Dr. Henein has experience in both inpatient and outpatient Adult Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Consultation-Liaison service, Geriatric Psychiatry, Behavioral Neurology, Forensic Psychiatry and child and adolescent Psychiatry. He also has experience in clinical research, and he was able to publish studies in medical journals, including “Long-term Management of Low Back Pain with Opioids and NSAIDs in a Health System” in American Journal of Preventive Medicine. He was the main author of “Prospective Study of Antidepressant Adherence and Suicidal Ideation among adults”, which has been published in the Primary Care Companion for CNS disorders. Dr. Henein has provided poster presentations at the American Psychiatric Association Meeting. He has educated others on Clinical Depression at the Doctor of Ministry Conference at Ecumenical Theological Seminary. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and he has a keen interest in dual diagnoses and the relationship between substance use and mental health.
